Our first service was held in December of 1986. We held Sunday worship services at the Holiday Inn and prayer meetings in homes until our building on Stetler Avenue in Shamokin Dam was leased. In 1993 we purchased the property and enlarged it in 1997.

Brookside is committed to establishing God's present truth. I Pet. 1:12 We believe God is preparing the Church of Jesus Christ by restoring the principles of the early church Acts 3:18-24 and revealing Himself throughout the earth.

Working with the Holy Spirit and other ministries Ephesians 4:11-13, Brookside's goal is to bring individual believers to maturity in Christ. This process will result in a glorious, unified, universal Church, the "holy and unblemished" bride of Christ, ready for the return of her beloved Bridegroom. Ephesians 5:22-32, Revelation 19:6-9

Brookside is only a part of what God is doing in the earth today. We are grateful to work with the Holy Spirit in this hour.
